December 1992 is short piece based on the Mumbai riots after the demolition of Babri Masjid. The story is narrated from the point of view of a person who belongs to majoritarian community. After 25 years of this event she reads accounts of four women activists who helped the victims from the minority community. The activists belonged to different religions and they proactively helped victims, from the Muslim community—the most affected people. The four women portrayed went out of their way, challenged the system and ensured that peace and order were maintained. Geetanjali Kulkarni and Sameena Dalwai feel that these stories need to be shared—given the current polarized social and political scenario.
